Department of Computer Engineering

Computer engineers continually push the capability and applicability of computers in every industry and every facet of modern life. Computer engineers embed computers in other machines and systems, build networks to transfer data, and develop ways to make computers, faster, smaller, and more capable. Computer engineers are improving the ability of computers to "see" and "think." They are making computers more mobile, and even incorporating computers into fabrics, clothes, and building materials. Innovation is key in the steadily growing computer engineering field.

University of Tabriz, found this field in 2011. This faculty accepts students in the graduate of hardware field and in post graduate of artificial intelligence, hardware and software engineering fields and in PhD of computer engineering.

In addition to providing educational laboratories and facilities for supplementing the courses, the department accommodates more than ten specialized research laboratories directed by faculty members; these laboratories are constantly active in conducting academic and industrial research in various areas of computer science and engineering.

Our students are working on projects that have the potential to improve security, financial and banking system vulnerability, RFID cards authentication system vulnerabilities, design and construction of secure indigenous modem router, wireless networks, steganography, text and speech summarization, multi-agent systems, traffic control, cloud computing, information visualization, and more.
